Vboard Machine Operator – 3rd Shift (Laminations)

Laminations, a division of Great Northern Corporation and leading producer of edge protective packaging is welcoming candidates for a full-time 3rd Shift VBoard Machine Operator at our Jacksonville, FL facility.

Set up orders for machine and direct crew to produce the finest quality product at rates and standards consistent with the Company’s desire to be a Preferred Supplier of cost effective, top quality products.  Must be available to work 3rd shift of 11pm to 7am Monday through Friday and overtime as needed!


  1. Ensure efficient staffing for machine, inform supervisor when problems arise.
  2. Set up computer for daily work load
  3. Walk down length of machine to ensure it is ready to run.
  4. Monitor glue levels; maintain a clean and efficient glue system.
  5. Check calipers and length, adjust as needed.
  6. Document data collection.
  7. Be in constant communication with supervisors and crew members.
  8. Maintain productions reports
  9. Maintain sample rack.
  10. Participate in continuous improvement and effectively communicate opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness for this position.
  11. All other reasonable duties as required.


  1. Assist in all phases of machine and department operation as needed for breaks, changes, or special projects.
  2. Keep up to date with any ongoing machine improvements.
  3. Maintain cleanliness to ensure safety of all personnel.
  4. Foster an attitude of lean thinking, sustain improvements and motivating the rest of the crew to not be satisfied with status quo.
