This part-time position provides high-level administrative support to Great Northern leadership. Position has a broad range of responsibilities involving confidential and sensitive information; must be trustworthy, respectful, flexible and demonstrate sound work ethic. Must be able to work independently, and in coordination with the Executive Leadership team.



  1. Perform variety of support tasks that are confidential and sensitive in nature.
  2. Serve as a liaison between executives, board members, subordinates, and others (internally and externally).
  3. Coordinate and facilitate Outlook meeting calendars.
  4. Create invitations and agendas as needed.
  5. Assist marketing with creating digital marketing reports; maintaining contact databases; assisting with web site content updates; assist with trade show and job fair logistics; ordering business cards and promotional items; managing marketing material inventory; and shipping materials using both company fleet and outside vendors.
  6. Request donation checks and create cover letter to accompany Great Northern check
  7. Assist with Green Bay Packer game logistics
  8. Renew/cancel company subscriptions
  9. Prepare, maintain and distribute spread sheets and publications pertaining to linerboard pricing (i.e. Yellow Sheet, White Sheet, Pulp and Paper Week and distribute to appropriate recipients).
  10. Coordination of corporate sponsored events such as Annual Stockholders’ meeting, Packaging Sales Conference, Finance Managers’ meeting, GT/GNC summer event and FUSION women’s networking event. Responsibilities include invitations/rvsp’s/travel accommodations for remote employees/catering coordination/meeting rooms.
  11. Reconciliation of corporate purchasing card transactions and uploading receipts and documenting descriptions to the site.
  12. Assistance with projects related to the implementation of Dayforce HCM solution as needed.
  13. Negotiate hotel room rates for employees traveling between Great Northern locations.
  14. Maintaining contact information such as job title and work phone numbers of active employees on Outlook.
  15. Identify Great Northern location for list of 400 insurance certificates issued by broker to ensure an up to date listing each year.
  16. Coordinate the administration of paperwork related to leased vehicles.
  17. Populate various schedules with shareholder information for stock purchases and printing stock certificates.
  18. Compose, proof, email, and post company announcements on bulletin boards. (New hires, retirements, resignations, death announcements, and funeral information).
  19. Order flowers or send check to memorial fund on behalf of Great Northern for loss of loved ones according to Great Northern’s policy.
  20. Switchboard – help with coverage for vacation, illness, etc. at the reception desk.



Monday-Friday 20 hours/week



Must hold a High School Diploma. Two years post high school degree a plus. Five years’ experience in an office environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the job. Marketing background, training or experience a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, SharePoint, and Citrix; ability to follow written or verbal instructions; ability to edit and proof a variety of materials; ability to make decisions and work without supervision, and/or work together with executives depending on nature of the situation; have a good interpersonal and verbal communication skills; ability to problem solve; prioritize and handle multiple tasks; use integrity with confidential and proprietary information. Ability to interact and be approachable for any requests made of you.
