Great Northern Corporation will be exhibiting at Booth #4656 and will enter the following 11 displays in POPAI’s annual Outstanding Marketing at Retail Achievement (OMA) awards contest. This is the industry’s largest and longest-running competition, recognizing the most innovative and effective marketing at-retail displays and programs.
SCJ OFF! Clip-On 36 Ct. Floor Display Utilizing experiential marketing, the display coordinates a push-button-activated audio description with a demonstration of the new Clip-On insect control fan. The main body arrives pre-assembled and preloaded with product. Corrugated header and wing panels are pre-attached with flute wire, ensuring they are not discarded during setup. The chair base executes in minutes. Interactive and visual elements keep consumers engaged. The display sold four times as many of the units as stores using on-shelf merchandising. In addition, the display, made with offset printed/mounted corrugate components, has exceeded its expected lifespan of one month. Units have been restocked multiple times.

SCJ OFF! Power Pad 28 Ct. Floor Display The use of LED technology to create a simulated flame in an actual demo lantern delivers strong stopping power in the aisle. Vibrant graphics including the OFF! signature orange color reinforce the strong brand. The tone is bright and visually dominant. The clear, direct messaging evokes citronella buckets while subtly communicating alternative product benefits on the tray lips. A minimal footprint and height allow for maximum flexibility of placement in store. Display arrives pre-packed and pre-assembled for execution in less than two minutes. The display was restocked numerous times and sales far exceeded expectations. |
Kraft Easy Cheese Floor Display Temporary and recyclable floor display leverages the brand equity of the Easy Cheese canisters to create a strong in-store destination and encourage impulse buys. While square in shape for store compatibility, the design tricks the eye into believing that you are looking at a round configuration, mirroring the distinctive shape of the product packaging. Display supports more than 100 pounds of product while being shorter than previous model and is able to be shopped from all sides. The colorful, playful tone of the graphics appeals to youthful demographic. Sales figures showed a double-digit growth pattern compared to same products sold on shelf. |

Quartet EnduraGlide Marker Launch Display Temporary floor display for the new EnduraGlide line of dry eraser markers features a focus-grabbing oversized marker and a compelling header that emphasizes features and benefits. The display dimensions and vibrant red color appearance are designed to Staples specifications. The two-sided configuration increases store placement options. Shelf trays include unique inserts that hold individual product cards in place, eliminating typical stability issues. Product sales have exceeded estimates. |
Bind-N-Fly Radio Display Eye-catching permanent display for hobby shop counters or shelves is designed to facilitate interaction and product demonstration. Helicopter launch pad mounted on back panel encourages store to provide a helicopter that can take off and land on the display. Interchangeable cards on the platform educate consumers about each product’s unique features and benefits. Background graphics reinforce the transmitters that are on display, focusing on the application and simplicity. Display components are constructed of styrene to ensure the desired 18-month lifespan of the display. Transmitter sales have increased by 58 percent, exceeding all expectations. |
|
American Girl Grocery Spinner Display Permanent display drives brand awareness and trial of American Girl products in top premium grocery stores. Display holds multiple trim sizes and has allowances for future products. Strong branding and the use of a finish in berry – the corporate color – reinforce the display as one-stop shopping for American Girl products. The turntable base eases access and encourages browsing. Display executes in less than 10 minutes. Sales figures have shown a marked increase compared to shelf-only merchandising. |
Lexmark Platinum 904 Interactive End Cap This end cap display’s mission is to promote awareness of printer’s incorporation of a new technology touch screen. An oversized touch-screen panel encourages interactivity with colored lighting icons that display educational information about the printer’s features. A flipbook provides the opportunity to learn more about the printing solutions and features/benefits of the printer. Graphics on the back panel and on the printer cartons build brand awareness. The display drove sales 17 percent higher than stores that did not take the end cap. |

Nintendo of America Game Stop DSi Sign This compact dimensional sign was created to hang on the slat wall at Game Stop stores to herald the arrival of Nintendo’s new DSi product. Back wall is made with reinforced double-wall corrugated to support long in-store expectancy. Construction includes an additional bracket and spacer to facilitate quick hanging on the slat wall. Strong DSi graphic and high-contrast black-and-white shape makes the display stand out in sea of colors and small graphics on other game packages. Positioned to capture attention with icon graphics familiar to Nintendo customers, this display effectively grabbed attention and leveraged the brand. |
Nintendo of America Punch-Out Floor Stand This floor display uses a die-cut image of Nintendo’s iconic Little Mac, suspended away from the display to permit potential motion and provide a three-dimensional appeal. Designed from corrugated and printed SMS, the display allows for four-sided visibility and alternate two-sided shopability. Bright colors help the display stand out in the retail environment. Assembly is quick and easy. Stores have requested the same construction for subsequent promotions with different characters. |
|
3M Back-to-School Label Quarter Pallet The display’s mission was to launch a new product category at Office Max, gaining secondary placement of Post-It and 3M Brand labels off shelf during the back to school promotional time frame. Three-sided structure enables the merchandising of three different products at once. Clear plastic gates keep the needed product quantity upright without blocking the important product information found in the lower right hand portion of the product packaging. Three-dimensional look of application shots in the header provide aesthetic appeal and pique consumer interest. |
3M Scotch Holiday Sleigh Flexibility of interchangeable corrugated components allowed for a variety of configurations across multiple retailers with full pallet and half pallet and different product mixes. Non-denominational holiday theme was strongly conveyed by sleigh panel, which can be replaced by other seasonal panels. Generic holiday theme appealed across multiple generations while triggering immediate holiday recognition and stimulating impulse buying. Marketer reported this display generated double-digit sales growth.
